- Head Cashier
- Ensure all departments have sufficient cashier cover by planning and managing the cashiers daily rota’s in liaison with the management team.
Recruit, fully train and develop all cashiers in line with Company Recruitment & Selection and Induction Training procedures.
Ensure a high level of customer service is being provided from the cash desks at all times.
Maintain accurate records and control of daily and weekly staff commission documents
Ensure security measures are taken and that cashiers are updated regularly on these.
Update pricing equipment (cobis) when required.
Control store stationary and bag orders whilst maintaining required levels.
Manage employee expenses process
To be the main point of contact for all managers in store for all cash desk related queries
Ensure all cash desks are in good working order and maintained regularly
Control coin stock and order levels.
Liaise with managers to offer cashier assistance on shop floor when necessary.
Monitor and record till discrepancies, communicating them to the management team and cashier trainer.
Make sure that the processing of merchandise movements assigned to cashiers is accurate and all documentation is organized
Close the main till a minimum of three / four times per week depending on store
